AARRIVAL GWALIOR

Welcome to Gwalior, You are greeted on arrival at Gwalior Airport/Railway station by The Our representative and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a half day city tour visiting the massive sandstone fort doting the city skyline, the 9th century Teli Ka Mandir and the 11h century Sas Bahu ka Mandir. In the evening witness the spectacular sound and light show (entry on direct payment basis) where the history of Gwalior and its warriors is narrated. Overnight stay at hotel.

Gwalior Fort (Hindi: ग्वालियर क़िला Gwalior Qilais a hill fort near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, central India. The fort has existed at least since the 10th century, and the inions and monuments found within what is now the fort campus indicate that it may have existed as early as the beginning of the 6th century. The fort has been controlled by a number of different rulers in its history. The present-day fort consists of a defensive structure and two main palaces, Gujari Mahal and Man Mandir, built by Man Singh Tomar (reigned 1486-1516 CE). The Gujari Mahal palace was built for Queen Mrignayani. It is now an archaeological museum. The second oldest record of "zero" in the world was found in a small temple, which is located on the way to the top. The inion is around 1500 years old.

Sas Bahu temple in Gwalior is famous temple, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu by the King Mahipala. Lord Vishnu is also known as Sahastrabahu, the one with many hands. But gradually the name changed into Sas Bahu Temple. Lord Vishnu is supposed to be the preserver of this Universe. He keeps vigilance over this earth and if there is any disobedience among men, he punishes them. But he is also considered to be the most kind hearted among the Hindu Gods.

GWALIOR - ORCHHA

Morning Drive to Orchha. Enroute visit the Phool Bagh, Dinman Herdaul’s Palace, Sunder Mahal and the cenotaphs built in the memory of the rulers of Orchha. On arrival, check into your hotel. Later, visit Jehangir Mahal built by Raja Bir Singh Ju Deo, Raj Mahal and Chaturbhuj temple. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this beautiful village. Night stay at Hotel.

The Sunder Mahal is a beautiful palace in Orchha, that is now a significant pilgrimage for the Muslims. Though Orchha is now almost a ghost city, but the imprints of irs glorious and rich past is still retained in the ruins of the palaces and temples in Orchha.

SIGHTSEEING : Chaturbhuj Temple

Chaturbhuj Temple in Orchha is one of the most fabulous and ancient architectural marvels of the time in the town. It was built by king Madhukar in between the years 1558 and 1573. The temple houses an idol of Lord Vishnu with four arms but was originally meant for Lord Rama’s idol.

ORCHHA - CHANDERI - ORCHHA

Chanderi is a town of historic importance right from the time of Malwa Sultans and Bundela Rajputs, who ruled the region in 15th and 16th century. Surrounded by exotic hills, lakes, and forest, this attractive destination is incredibly famous for Chanderi saris and historic monuments that draw a large number of tourists to this place every year. Also, the great Jain monuments and their fascinating culture make Chanderi, one of the most preffered tourist destinations in Madhya Pardesh. There are many things that boost Tourism in Chanderi like Chanderi Fort, Chanderi museum, Jain palaces, and exquisite lakes.

ORCHHA - KHAJURAHO

Early morning, drive to Khajuraho. On arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon proceed on a temple tour visiting the Kendariya Mahadeo Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The others temples of interest are Chausath Yogini, Chitragupta etc. each with its own history and presiding deity. In the evening witness the spectacular sound and light show (entry on direct payment basis).Night stay at Hotel.

SIGHTSEEING : Kandariya Mahadeva Temple

The Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, meaning "the Great God of the Cave", is the largest and most ornate Hindu temple in the medieval temple group found at Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is considered one of the best examples of temples preserved from the medieval period in India.

SIGHTSEEING : Chausath Yogini Temple

The Chausath Yogini temple is a ruined Devi temple in the Khajuraho town of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is the oldest surviving temple at Khajuraho. Unlike the Chausath Yogini temples at other places, it has a rectangular plan.

The Chitragupta temple is an 11th-century temple of Surya in the Khajuraho town of Madhya Pradesh, India. Architecturally, it is very similar to the nearby Jagadambi temple.

In Khajuraho – Excursion to Panna National Park

Today proceed to Panna National Park near the Ken River with its deep gorges, tranquil valley and dense teak forests. you could sight tigers and panthers along with herds of chinkara, sambar and several other wildlife species. The spectacular Pandav falls en route and other waterfalls in the area are popular picnic spots. The rest of the evening is at leisure to explore the local shops and market, Night stay at Hotel.

 

SIGHTSEEING : Panna National Park

Panna National Park is a national park located in Panna and Chhatarpur districts of Madhya Pradesh in India. It has an area of 542.67 km2 (209.53 sq mi). It was declared in 1994 as the twenty second Tiger reserve of India and the fifth in Madhya Pradesh, Panna was given the Award of Excellence in 2007 as the best maintained national park of India by the Ministry of Tourism of India.

SIGHTSEEING : Pandav Falls

The Pandav Falls is a waterfall in the Panna district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. About 30 metres high, it is located on a tributary of the Ken River, as it plunges over the falls to join it. Pandav Falls is located 12 kilometres from Panna and 35 kilometres from Khajuraho, close to Raneh Falls. The falls are named after the legendary Pandava brothers of the epic poem Mahabharata, who supposedly visited this area. Remains of caves and shrines that commemorate this legend can be seen around the pool below.

  • In case client wishes to prepone /postpone his or her travel dates, we request you to kindly reach us 15 days prior to journey date via e-mail/SMS.

  • The customers can prepone /postpone their tour once without any additional charges (if intimated before 15 days of travel date in written). However postponing & preponing second time will attract additional charges.

  • Also note that few service providers (Hoteliers, Transporter etc.) may apply postpone/prepone charges even after meeting above requirement. In such cases postpone/prepone charges will deducted from the advance amount deposited.

  • In all prepone or postpone scenarios, the services and the costing will be subject to availability of Hotel/Volvo and season/off season time.

  • We do not accept any changes in plan within 15 days of travel date. However in rare cases like adverse climatic conditions or strikes, package can be postponed which will be intimated to you beforehand.

  • The validity to utilize your Advance payment in prepone/postpone scenarios is 1 Year from the date of advance payment.
